The origin of Siren Theatre Collective begins with a friendship forged through community and theatre.
Founders Jennifer and Robin first met in 2016 while working on productions in the local theatre community. They quickly discovered that they shared similar artistic values, a collaborative leadership style, and a deep belief in the power of community-based theatre. Recognizing a kindred spirit in one another, they continued to seek opportunities to work together, building a creative partnership that grew stronger with every project.
During the uncertainty of the 2020 pandemic, the two began discussing a dream they had long shared: creating a theatre company of their own. They envisioned an organization that would celebrate artistic excellence, foster meaningful community connections, and provide opportunities for artists and audiences alike. While the timing was not yet right, the idea remained alive as they each pursued other theatrical endeavors and gained additional experience as artists, producers, and leaders.
Over the following years, that vision continued to take shape. As their individual journeys evolved, so did their understanding of the kind of organization they hoped to build together. By 2026, the purpose was clear, the timing was right, and the stars aligned.
In June 2026, Siren Theatre Collective was officially formed in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Founded on the belief that theatre should be accessible, inclusive, and transformative, Siren Theatre Collective exists to bring people together through the shared experience of live performance while nurturing creativity, collaboration, and community.
What began as a conversation between two friends has become a collective dedicated to amplifying voices, inspiring audiences, and creating opportunities for artists to thrive.
We are committed to equity, inclusion, accessibility & belonging across all aspects of our work—onstage, offstage, and in the communities we serve. We strive to build spaces where people from a wide range of identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences are not only welcomed but centered and valued.
Siren Theatre Collective affirms that no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in the arts on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion or creed, political affiliation or belief, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, body type, education, or experience, except where specific requirements may constitute a bona fide occupational qualification.
We are dedicated to ensuring accessibility for both artists and audiences, including those with mobility needs, and we actively work to make our rehearsal and performance spaces as inclusive and welcoming as possible.
